"Therese was so encouraging, as I was very worried about breastfeeding a preemie. She sent me articles explaining the research on breastfeeding and preemies. She helped me understand the basics, so I knew we actually had a few months to learn a proper latch. This was so encouraging because it took us about a month to breastfeed exclusively. She also gave me confidence about using a bottle (of pumped milk) to help us get out of the hospital. We kept working on breastfeeding at home and once she was strong enough, my baby did great. Learning to breastfeed can be so difficult. Having someone beside you to encourage you and make sure you don't start bad habits is a huge help. Breastfeeding is worth every cent you invest in it. It is a wonderfully sweet experience. The beginning has been an uphill battle for me, but once breastfeeding was established, it was so easy. My advice to new moms is to hang in there, take care of yourself, ask for help, and know that it gets so much easier!"

"Therese is an incredibly caring lactation consultant. She truly takes time to understand her clients' experience, roadblocks and challenges and is so committed to helping them achieve the best possible outcome for momma and baby, whether it be with her services or other medical professionals. I can't say enough about how helpful she has been in our breastfeeding and just overall newborn journey. As a first time mom, it means so much to know she is rooting for us and supporting us above and beyond what we expected from a lactation consultant. She has a lot of experience and is also well connected with other medical professionals in the Kansas City community. She is overall an extremely compassionate and helpful individual. Thank you, Therese!!!"

"Therese was such a great support to me with my third child. My daughter was exclusively breastfed but was not gaining weight. At her 4 month appointment she fell off the charts. I was at a loss for what to do. Therese was able to sit with me, offer encouragement, talk through the challenges and come up with a plan of action. She gave me ways to help increase my milk supply, referred me to a breastfeeding support group and also caught my daughters tongue and lip tie. She continued to be a resource and source of positivity over the following months. My daughter started gaining weight after that and now is a happy and healthy little girl."
